Whiskyland Chapter Eight ist ein Single-Refill-Hogshead mit Tomatin aus dem Jahr 1994, 30 Jahre gereift Jahre und in natürlicher Fassstärke abgefüllt. Ein sehr fruchtiger Dram, dominiert von Exotik und grüne Früchte mit einem merkwürdigen, funkigen und honigartigen Hauch, der typisch zu sein scheint von Tomatin. Ein sehr üppiger und angenehmer Dram.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Green and exotic fruit pulp, with that overripe funkiness to it. Also citrus teas, crystalised honey, crushed nettles and slightly metallic and waxy impressions of old Irish pot still whiskey. Very characterful and typical older Tomatin.

Palate: Lovely honeyed and waxy combination, with many dried and crystalised exotic fruit notes such as pineapple, papaya, guava and mango. Also lemon oils and slightly herbal notes.

Finish: Long, more cereal-driven, nicely oily, some waxes and more exotic fruit returning for the aftertaste.
