Ein wunderschöner und reichhaltiger 25 Jahre alter Orkney Single Malt mit Sherrygehalt, abgefüllt als unser vierter Old Orkney-Veröffentlichung.

Dieser reifte zunächst in schlichten Hogsheads aus Eichenholz und verbrachte die letzten sechs Monate Jahrelange Reifung in einem sehr, sehr alten 1st Fill, ehemaligen Bodega-Oloroso-Sherry-Fass.

Das hat hat es zu einem wunderschönen, gut mit Sherry versetzten, reifen Orkney-Single-Malt gemacht!

Tasting Notes

Nose: A combination of gamey, leathery old school sherry notes, bound up with wispy peat smoke, dried herbs, cured meats and hints of camphor, sandalwood and heather honey. Intricate and very compelling.

Palate: Perfect at cask strength, with ample richness and power, lots of thick sherry detailing, but still showing beautifully intricate, herbal, honeyed and waxy peat smoke notes. A wonderful and charmingly old style profile.

Finish: Long, earthy, warming, peppery, persistently gamey and leathery and with hints of mineral oils, tar and more delicate herbal notes.
