Uncharted Whisky ist ein junger unabhängiger Abfüller aus Schottland, welcher 2020 von Dana und Jack gegründet wurde. Bislang wurden drei Whiskys abgefüllt, wovon zwei aufgrund der geringeren Flaschenanzahl bereits jetzt fast ausverkauft sind. Eine Abfüllung hat es jedoch in guter Stückzahl nach Deutschland geschafft. Die Rede ist von einem 13-jährigen Glenallachie von 2007, welcher vollständig in einem 1st Fill Sherry Butt reifte (kein Finish) und mit kräftigen 50% vol. abgefüllt wurde

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich, heady and very aromatic. Bold medjool dates, toffee, butterscotch and apricot accompany subtle spicing.

Palate: Starting with a huge blow of full-bodied spice and warmth. Rich rich rich sticky toffee caramel slowly meanders through the mouth. The sweetness gives way to citrus peel and a dry Christmas spice lingers long after the richness of dried dates and fruitiness melts.

Finish: The sweet savoury spice lingers on the palette for minutes following the dram leaving the palette ready for another.
